The Terms and Conditions below form the basis of the contractual relationship between DDIT and its clients. It is extremely important that our clients understand and accept these Terms and Conditions. The receipt of your deposit and/or final payment will indicate that you have read these Terms and Conditions, and that you have accepted them.

Quotation

In accordance with the tourist practice in china, we will offer you our best quotation based on three categories: 10paxs & up; 6-9paxs, and 2-5paxs. It means that the category of 10paxs or more will get the same tour price, no matter if they are 10 clients, 20 clients or 30 clients. The rule is the same for category of 6-9paxs and category of 2-5paxs.

1. Following items are included in our tour rate:

A. Rate of hotels listed in the itinerary
our tour price is based on twin sharing basis (two persons sharing one room with twin beds). If some client requests to stay in a room/cabin alone, the single room/cabin supplement will be charged. No additional charge for children under 12 years of age when sharing the room with their parents. Extra bed will be charged per room night and extra breakfast be added per person. Without special request, our rate normally includes the breakfast each day inside the hotel.

B. Entrance fees

Tour rate includes entrance fee for scenic spots as listed in the itinerary. The visit of additional spots and change of the spots might result in the extra charge for the entrance ticket, transportation and guide service.

C. Private car / van Transfers
Our tour rate is based on the private transfer between airports, hotels and all sightseeing spots. If separate arrivals and departures are requested, there will be extra charges.

D. Personal Guide & Driver service
Our tour price has included the fare for the guide and driver service. Normally without any special request, we will assign the English-speaking guide and driver in each city. For the group of 10paxs or more, we will assign a national guide to take care of the group.

E. Meals as listed in the itinerary
Meals as listed in the itinerary have been included in our tour rate. Without special request for buffer lunch and dinner or famous local delicacy, our meal is a standard meal which includes the breakfast inside the hotel and Chinese styled lunch and dinner at local restaurant. In our itinerary, "B" stands for western breakfast in your hotel (When few hotels have no western breakfasts, in this case, "B" stands for Chinese breakfast.). "L" stands for Chinese Lunch in local Chinese restaurant. "D" stands for Chinese dinner in local Chinese restaurant.

F. The fare for Domestic flights or trains as listed in the itinerary.
Without special request, our rate will normally include the airfare of economy-class for the domestic flights as specified in the itinerary. Please note that business-class tickets cost 30% more than economy-class tickets, and first-class tickets cost an extra 50%. Children over 12 are charged adult fares and kids between two and 12 pay half-price.
Our tour price also includes the fare for trains. As for foreigners, we always recommend to take the soft sleeping berth or soft seat which is more comfortable.

G. Service Charge & Government Taxes.
Our tour rate has included the service charge and all government taxes already.

H. Luggage Transfers between airports and hotels
For big group, sometimes we will use the luggage van to transfer your big suitcases from the airport to the hotel or from hotel to the airport. The fare has been included in our price already.

I.Yangtze River Cruises.
Our quotation of the Yangtze River cruise is based on the standard cabin (two clients share a cabin). If you request to stay in a luxury suitewhich is four times more than that of standard cabin, extra money will be charged. The price quoted has included all meals onboard, all shore excursion including the smaller cruise fee to Lesser Three Gorges or Shennong Stream. (Optional land excursions are available for a few ships which will be specially noticed.) All incidental charges, including room service, mini bar, laundry, and drinks and bar charges, tipping, etc. are not included.
All the shore excursions are in groups escorted by ship guides and guides from the excursion site. No private tours for this part.

J. The Tibet Travel Permit application fee applicable
If you want to travel to Tibet, we will help you to apply for the Tibet Travel Permit, the fare has been included in our tour rate.

K. Travel Agencies' Liability Insurance with the tour inside China.

We have bought travel agencies' liability insurance for every tourist group. We will compensate you or your dependents for losses in the following situations:

- If physical injury or death occurs, the insurance must cover related costs of medicines, medical treatment, travel and accommodation charges;
- The insurance will cover losses if tourists' belongings are lost, broken or stolen;
- The insurance must cover all legal costs for the tourists if lawsuits are brought against the agencies.


2. Following items are not included in our tour fare:

A. without special request, our tour rate normally does not include Entry or Exit China International Airfare or train tickets.

B. Visa Fees.

C. Gratuities, Tips to guides or drivers.

D. Single Room Supplement.

E. Expense for extra staying

F. Meals not specified in the itineary.

G. Any personal charges such as excess baggage , phone bills , postage , laundry or drinks .

H. Charges arising from deviation.

Booking

Once you agree on the itinerary and other details of the tour package, we are going to send you the Booking Confirmation Form which once is filled out and sent back to us, we will confirm you service within one working day.

Deposit and Payment :

A deposit of 20% of the total tour cost per person is required at the time of confirmation of reservation . For the booking of Yangtze river cruise extra US$100 p/p will be required as deposit. The wire transfer charge is on your own. A reservation for your tour will not be considered firm until the first payment is received. By sending the deposit, you agree to be bound by our General Terms and Conditions. Please pay the final payment 30 days prior to departure ( If your travel includes Yangtze Cruise , You MUST pay the final payment 60 days prior departure ) .

Except paying by bank transfer, we also have other two methods of payment for choice.

A. Pay by Paypal
Payment by Paypal can be received immediately. Please note that it is subject to a service fee and it will be on your own. If you could accept this way of payment, we will have Paypal send you an invoice. You can settle the payment easily. The payment by Paypal requires in USD.

B. Pay by Credit Card.
Our Credit Card payment system is available. Currently, we can accept Visa and Master. Please note that it is subject to a service fee and it will be on your own.

Amendment

In case of amendments and changes, the customer should advise to DDIT 40 days prior to the confirmed tour. DDIT is not holding responsible for the consequence caused by late notice of any change made by the customer, for example, the non-confirmation of hotel for late alteration of itinerary. Penalty will be requested if there is loss resulted. After commencement of the tour, the extra charge arising from any change by the customer will be on added. 
DDIT reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary. In this event, any increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged/refunded accordingly. If the tour is to be changed at the request of the client/s, the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

Cancellation:

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your reservation, however we realize that there are always reasons that this can happen.
When you decide to cancel your reservation, we appreciate that you can send written notice of cancellation by fax/email to us.
The following fee will be assessed per person according to when you cancel your reservation.
Up to 91 days prior to departure: US$100 per person

90-61 days prior to departure: US$150 per person

60-31 days days prior to departure: US$200 per person

30-15 days prior to departure: 30% of the full payment ( If the amount is less than $200/per person, the final cancellation fee will be $200/per person )

14-3 days prior to departure: 50% of the full payment ( If the amount is less than $200/per person, the final cancellation fee will be $200/per person )

100% of tour fare will be charged as penalty for any cancellation made within 48 hours prior to departure or no show on the departure date. When a traveler cannot complete the tour for any reason, unused portion of the tour is non refundable.

Responsibility

DDIT shall provide a comprehensive service with regards to the said leisure and business trips. DDIT shall in particular provide: accommodation according to promised standard, board, program, guide, transport and other services specified in the obligatory purchase/booking order, subject to availability of such services at time of purchase/booking order and subsequent confirmation of such service to the client by DDIT.

-As a tour operator, DDIT is involved in booking hotel and air/train/cruise transportation for you. DDIT will try its best to coordinate with the airline, cruise line or the hotel to ensure that everything goes on smoothly. But as DDIT does not act as an agent for these service suppliers, it shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent acts, omissions, or the failure of any equipment operated by any suppliers or any other party not directly owned or controlled by DDIT. However, DDIT promise that it will be responsible for the willful or negligent acts of our partner travel agents for the land services like guide service, meals and car/van transportation.

-In the case of non-provided service (non-effectuated transfer, non-effectuated city tour) due to the negligence of DDIT, DDIT is obligated to compensate the service to the client.

DDIT shall however not be held responsible for any damage in clients’ perception whatsoever arising from any alteration or cancellation.

-In case of Changes/Alterations from the customer: All changes including routes, itineraries, arrival date, the number of people traveling and other arrangements of confirmed tour shall be advised to DDIT in time. DDIT will not be held responsible for any delayed notice and penalty will be requested if there is loss resulted.

In case of cancellation, the customer shall inform DDIT in time to avoid any losses. Otherwise the cancellation penalty will be required as stipulated above.

- DDIT reserve the right to adjust its tour rate in the event of the expected currency devaluation and cost increases, including the increase in the airfare, cruise fare, hotel rate, entrance fees or fuel surcharge. But if DDIT has received the full payment already, it will take all losses and not charge you more for the cost increase.

-For the smooth operation of the tour, DDIT reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour, to make changes in the itinerary or to cancel a tour at any time whenever it turns out to be necessary. DDIT will refund any unused portion to the customer.

-DDIT will not be held responsible for any loss resulted from the factors uncontrolled by human beings, for example, climatic conditions, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, terrorist activities.

- The customer will take all risks or losses arising from any unauthorized extra services beyond our confirmed itinerary that the client requires with the local agent, local guide or the driver. But DDIT will try its best to help the customer get out of the difficulties including chase compensation if any damages or losses occur.

- DDIT is not responsible for a client’s failure to comply with customs regulations or the suspension of the tour for any fault of the customer.

- The tour always includes some activities which require care attention. All activities are undertaken at your own risk. DDIT, its guides and local agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after its said employees and agents have exercised their duty and taken the necessary care. DDIT is not responsible for the lost of any customer’s personal property due to his or her negligence.

-Before the commencement of the tour, DDIT reserves the right to substitute hotels, flights, or cruise ships, to alter itineraries, or to cancel the tour. If DDIT has cancelled any tour, it is liable to refund all the payment received.

-DDIT reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of its trips, and to use any such photographic or film records for promotional and/or commercial purposes.

-DDIT reserves the right to modify or rescind the above terms and conditions in whole, or in part at any time with or without notice.

Complaints & Claims

If you feel unsatisfied with any service DDIT has provided, you can let your guide know about it or you can inform our company directly by phone or fax/email. We will try our best to meet your reasonable request at any time.

If you are still not satisfied with what DDIT has done for you, you can also complain to the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) or to the Institutions of Supervision over Quality in each province.

Also, all the big tourist cities have set up hot lines for tourists to voice their complaints. Most of the complainants were satisfied with the verdicts, which were arrived at after thorough investigations and verification of facts

In the event of a complaint or claim for compensation, you must inform us by email, regular mail, or facsimile in writing within 15 days from the end of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. DDIT will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour. DDIT will look into the case and give reasonable and fair refund if it is justified.

Passports and Visas:

All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and necessary visas or permits at the commencement of travel. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of the client. Please make sure that you have got your valid passport and visa 20 days before your entry to China. We can send you a free official invitation to assist you to obtain your visa after the reservation deposit is received.

Health Requirements:

To ensure the smooth operation of the tour, a good health is very important. The client is solely responsible for checking the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of governments in countries visited or transited. Please consult with your physician regarding to your wellness and ability to travel long distance. Any physician or mental disability which requires special treatment or attention must be noted at the time of reservation.
DDIT reserves the right to exclude clients who are physically or mentally unfit to undertake long trips.
Travelers to Tibet are required to provide a doctor's certificate stating that the he/she is fit enough to travel and his/her blood pressure and heart condition are normal. This is a necessary requirement because of the possible effects that the very high altitude may have on certain people.

Luggage Allowance

In accordance with regulations of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, the free baggage allowance within China is 20kg for the economy class, 30kg for the business class, and 40kg for the first class, plus limited carry-on luggage. Excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of the client.
