Aimed at promoting the social, economic and cultural development of cities both in developed and developing countries, the Creative Cities Network is the highest non-governmental organization in the creative industry. It appoints cities in 7 thematic areas including the UNESCO Cities of Gastronomy, Literature, Film, Music, Design, Media Arts and Folk Arts.
