| Chinese authorities will raise fuel surcharges on airline tickets in China to help cover rising fuel costs, the state-run Xinhua News Agency reported Monday.
In a policy to start Tuesday, passengers on domestic flights of more than 800 kilometers (497 miles) will pay 150 yuan ($22) for fuel, up from 100 yuan. Passengers on shorter flights will pay 80 yuan, up from 60 yuan.
