Day 1
Arrive Kunming ()
On arrival in Kunming ,you will be met & transferred by our professional English speaking guide to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2
Kunming (B/L)
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Full day tour to Stone Forest, and local Bird & Flower Market. Lunch at good local restaurant.

Stone Forest: Known as "First Wonder of the World", one of the most important attractions of Yunnan.

Bird & Flower Market: The famous Flowers and Birds Market is the city's biggest, most attractive shopping market.


Day 3
Kunming/Dali (B/L)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, Overland drive with seat in coach bus from Kunming to Dali,(about 4.5 hours). Upon arrival in Dali, proceed to visit the Three Pagodas of Chongshen Monastery, tour Dali old town. Lunch at good local restaurant.

Three Pagodas of Chongshen Monastery: It is a symbol of the history of Dali City and has a history of over 1800 years.
Dali old town: built in 1382 and is one the 24 most famous historical and cultural cities in China.

Day 4
Dali/Lijiang (B/L)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, overland drive to Lijiang(about 3 hours) along the new highway to Lijiang. Visit the Bai minority village Xizhou and Shaping Market on the way. Upon arrival in Lijiang, check in the hotel. Afternoon free for your first visit of Ancient City of Lijiang.

Ancient City of Lijiang (Dayan Ancient Town): The town is a largely Naxi settlement first built during the Southern Song Dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural heritages in 1997.
Shaping Market: local market on every Monday. The local people come to the market from surrounding villages to exchange their daily wares, farming products, traditional clothes, or simply foods and vegetables.

Day 5
Lijiang (B/L)
Buffet breakfast at hotel. In the morning visit the Black Dragon Pool with Dongba Research Institute. Then visit the Yuhu Village and the Baisha village with its frescos dating back to Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Black Dragon Pool: The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools in China because of its beauty.
Yuhu Village: a simple village of Naxi minority with the former residence of Dr. Joseph Rock. Dr. Rock, an Austro-American botanist and explorer who lived here off and on from 1922-1949, is best remembered for the introduction of innumerable plant species to the West and his rigorous works on Naxi ethnology.

Day 6
Lijiang/Zhongdian (B/L)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, then drive to shigu. Visit first Bend of Yangtze River and Tiger Leaping Gorge, continue 105 km to Zhongdian (capital city of Deqen Tibetan Auto. Pref.), where is close to Tibet and known as Shangri-La / a hidden paradise in James Hilton’s 1993 novel--- Lost Horizon.

Frist Bend of Yangtze River: When the river reaches Shigu Township it makes an abrupt turn and flows further northward, forming the marvelous view reputed as the First Bend of the Yangtze River.
Tiger Leaping Gorge: The name of the gorge is attributed to the legend that a tiger had once jumped across the gorge at its narrowest section 30 meters in width.

Day 7
Zhongdian (B/L)
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Visit Ganden Songzanlin Monastery in the morning, then make an excursion to Nixi Village of Tibetan to observe the traditional way of making special black pottery by hand. Then visit a Tibetan family.
Late afternoon at leisure for your own visit of the old town and local market in Zhongdian.

Songzanlin Monastery: the biggest monastery in Zhongdian, is built on a hill immitating the Potala Palace in Lhasa. More than 500 lamas live and study here.

Day 8
Zhongdian Departure (B)
Buffet breakfast at hotel.
Check out of your hotel before 12:00 noon time. End of service.
